REGISTRY GUIDE

When to Register?

I would recommend starting your registry as soon as you are engaged (if not before.. but maybe that's just the planner in me)! Choose a wide variety of priced items so that people can choose how much they want to spend. Check back in on your registries from time to time throughout your engagement so that guests who check your registry later in the process still have a nice selection of gifts to choose from. Don't forget to include your registry information and links on your wedding website once that is up and running!

Types of Registries:

There are so many options when it comes to registering for gifts and each one offers different perks. Most of your favorite big department stores, such as Target, West Elm, and Crate & Barrel offer registries, but you can also go the route of directly using a wedding website like the Knot, Zola, or Registry.com for your registry. Many of them will give you a button you can add to your menu bar, so as you are shopping on the internet you can easily add things without having to leave the page you are on. You can also ask for cash funds for experiences, trips, home decor funds, or a donation to your favorite charity.
